CEB Systems Engineering (Pty) Ltd was established in 1981 as a computer equipment broking company, specializing in IBM mainframe equipment. As the mainframe market began to lose its presence to the fast growing and increasingly powerful personal computer processing capability, CEB took the initiative and expanded swiftly into midrange systems with more affordable software.
During 2001, Wananchi Investment Corporation (a 100% black owned entity) embarked on a process of identifying partners that specialize in advanced technology, to comply with the growing needs of their client base. A high standard was set for its partnership and the search criteria included, amongst other things, a company which provided professionalism, advanced technology services and partners who shared the same values regarding transformation. As a result of the partnership search, CEB Wananchi Systems (Pty) Ltd was formed, wherein Wananchi Technologies owns 51% and CEB 49% of the company.
Today, CEB Wananchi Systems (Pty) Ltd is a leading, empowered entity that has strategically positioned and aligned itself as a partner to key technology companies, outsourcing outfits and suppliers, by focusing activity on customized services specific to each customer. This is evident across the range of IT related products delivered, whether it be hardware, software or the facilitating on behalf of the OEM vendors we support.
